Fellowship and Outreach Opportunities

Single Moms Support and Fellowship Group

“No one wants to find themselves in the position of fitting into this group, but single moms find love, acceptance, encouragement, community and support when they become a part of Single Moms Support and Fellowship Group."

Are you a single mom who wants to connect with other single moms with similar life styles and needs?  If so, this group is for you, whether you are divorced, widowed, have young children or married children.

In addition to friendship and support, we are also a social group.  We laugh, share, support and care because we have all "been there."  Come and check us out, you will be glad you did.

Women’s Fellowship

If you enjoy keeping your hands busy while sharing in sweet fellowship, then this group is for YOU!  It is amazing to see what we produce each year for a variety of local agencies and missionaries through prayer and meeting practical needs to assist in reaching others for Christ.

The Women’s Fellowship will hold their regular meetings on the third Tuesday of each month.  Bring a bag lunch, dessert and beverages will be provided.  Watch Grace Notes for special projects or collections that YOU can help us with.

We’d love to see this group expand with women desiring to serve the Lord while serving His children near and far.  All ages welcomed.  Come check us out.  We look forward to meeting you!

If you know of an agency in need of help, contact Claire Glatz or Helen Jones.

Third Tuesdays each month (September-June, no meeting in December)

Location:  Grace Point, Room C-5

Time:  10AM-2PM

Coordinators:  Claire Glatz, Helen Jones and Carol McCormack

Quilt Project for Kids

A group of quilters here at Grace Point meet to make quilts to bring love & comfort to sick children in need.  Our quilts are donated to “St Stephen Quilt Project.” The quilts are collected & delivered to hospitals & foster care agencies for seriously ill & abused children.

Do you like working with fabric, sewing, quilting, or would you like to learn how to quilt?  Please consider joining us for a Saturday workshop here at Grace Point to send love and comfort to a child in the form of a handmade quilt.

What to bring to the Quilt Workshops: bag lunch & your sewing machine if you can, otherwise we have some extra sewing machines at the church.  Please come when you can to any of the workshops.

Dates:  Oct.16, Nov. 20, 2010 and Jan. 22, March 19, and May 21, 2011

Location:  Grace Point, Room C-7 & 8

Time:  10AM-2:30PM
