BiGG - Brothers in God's Grace
Purpose of BiGG: To Build environments where guys can gather to eat, compete and advance relationships with others and God.
Mission of BiGG: To Encourage men of Grace Point to feel free to express their faith in a relaxed environment. We WIN when guys show up to hang out and get help (prayer/direction/wisdom) from each other.
Our Approach: As men, every day we face challenges, trials and joys that are unique to the masculine journey. Sometimes its only another man that can relate and understand the pressures of providing for our families while struggling at being a godly man or husband or dad. We believe men need other men in their lives to sharpen and guide them in the ways of God and not the world. So we exist to create places or environments for men to rub shoulders with other men and learn from each other to honor God in all facets and stages of life. In these places men are free to more naturally express their faith and stories that can challenge the hearts of other men. We seek to create two kinds of environments...Macro Events and Micro Events. Details for upcoming events appear in Grace Notes every Sunday.
Macro Events are large events for anyone 16 years and up. Their purpose is to attract men so they'll show up and meet other men. These include our annual BiGG Men's Retreat in the Fall, BiGG Mens' Breakfast each month, "Dad Fest" on Father's Day, Super Bowl Breakfast and Men's March and Madness. Macro Events are usually planned and produced by the BiGG Core Team.
Micro Events are smaller venues that zero in on a few. Their purpose is to attract men who share common interests in an attempt to build biblical community. These may include table tennis, volleyball, P30X training, Beach Volleyball, Jam Sessions, Phillies Night Out, etc. Micro events usually spring up from the grass roots and are led by a BiGG Micro Ministry Coordinator and approved by the BiGG Core Team.
